Short Script - Pina's Records

Here is part of a short script I'm working on. 'A Woman to Be'

INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT

PINA is a pretty brunette14 year old with a petite build and green eyes.

Record player is playing rock and roll music. Piña is laying on the bed tapping her feet to it and reading the album cover. Phone rings.

                                        PIÑA
                              Hello!

                                        PHONE VOICE (V.O.)
                              Hello. This is Crypto Records subscription and we are
                              calling to find out why we haven't received a payment
                              from you.

                                        PIÑA
                               I don't have the money.

                                         PHONE VOICE (V.O.)
                               M'am, you have to pay this bill. We'll take you to court.

                                         PIÑA
                               I'm just a kid. You shouldn't have sold them to me.

                                         PHONE VOICE (V.O.)
                                How old are you?

                                         PIÑA
                                 I'm 12 and under 18 so you can't do anything and my
                                 mother didn't know anything about it.

Phone hangs up. Piña hangs up the phone and continues to tap her feet to the music playing.      

INT. PINA'S HOUSE - DAY

Piña looks out the kitchen window and sees her records on top of her sister's car.

                                          PIÑA
                               Hey! Those are my records.
Her sister sees her.

                                          SISTER
                                No they're not.

                                           PIÑA
                                THEY ARE!!

Sister scurries in the car and pulls out of the driveway. The records crash to the tar.

                                          PIÑA
                                   They were.

Piña looks sadly out the window.
