 This was written with a very special person.

It’s so dark in my apartment but not in my heart

When my mind wanders to wild thoughts

It always takes me to you

And now I know how deeply

My love has been touched by you

Sometimes I bring you here with me

To make my day brighter

But more often you surprise me

And find your own ways into my thoughts 

There are times when I awaken frightened 

I realize that you’ve been a part of my dreams

Running to me saving me

Then during the day when my imagination runs wild

I have to stop and catch myself

it takes me into your arms to feel safe

knowing that’s the place I need to be

Want to cry

So many times I haven’t shared with someone 

how frightened I’ve been in my life

I used to be afraid to fall feeling like falling off a cliff 

I don’t feel that anymore 

but you remind me how vulnerable I am to love

I honestly was going to settle upon 

not finding a man that was right for me

Then you came along so bold and strong 

I couldn’t ignore your attention

 

Love brings happiness ... "The greatest happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved; loved for ourselves, or rather, loved in spite of ourselves

Where love is, God is ... "And remember, as it was written, to love another person is to see the face of God
